Wall With Terra Cotta Vase

I love Santa Barbara. It might be the gorgeous coastline. It might be the beautiful temperate weather. It probably has something to do with the delicious wine produced in nearby rolling vineyards. In part it must be the refreshing coastal rain that occasionally sweeps through making this quaint town even quainter. No doubt some of it has to do with her rich history history stretching back 13,000 years to when the first humans arrived here. Much of it has to do with the lovely architecture so perfectly nestled into the hills overlooking the sea.

Mainly though, I love Santa Barbara because this is one of the places my wife and I first visited when we began dating and it’s where we sat down to call our families right after she agreed, quite unexpectedly, to marry me. Ah Santa Barbara, you’ve been very good to me.

I think minimalism is a pure state, a very clever contrast to an exellent result, symmetry is perfect and gives harmony at composition, it’s a “fine art” my friend, my compliments Chris

It’s all in the framing. What to leave in, what to leave out, – and this is just perfect. Delighted to hear that Santa Barbara evokes such lovely memories…

This is my kinda image, beautiful and striking in composition and color. I visited Santa Barbara many years ago too… I remember it being just about perfect in its location, perched along the foothills overlooking the sea. And beautiful skies, like the one in your image here. What a fabulous place for you both to return to!!!
