Whenever we need to recharge we take the family camping. My wife and I have been extremely busy of late so we’ve been looking forward to loading up our RV for some camping with friends. We especially love camping at the beach. The waves, the sun, and the cool ocean breezes add up to relaxation perfection and remind us why we love California. Yesterday with my wife’s permission I postponed dinner a bit to see what shots I could get of the dying light.
I was fortunate to have a pleasing sunset and shortly thereafter a pretty moonset. Cozying up to the moon were Mars and Venus; it was a very pretty sight made clearer by the relatively pure skies near the ocean. I shot some basic shots of the twilight but soon had some more interesting elements to capture. A fairly steady stream of surfers began crossing my frame; they were making their way home from a competition held earlier in the day. I like this one because I had been focusing on the setting celestial trio and this was the only image in which I caught three surfers similarly ending their day.
