She Loves Me

On a trip to California Wine Country we stopped at one of our favorite Pinot Noir producers and had a wine tasting.  The kids romped around the vineyard and played near a pond complete with a big bullfrog.  As my wife and I were enjoying our tasting I looked over to the window of the tasting room and saw my kids peering in.  In a flash my daughter signed I Love You and then she was gone but not before I was able to snap a quick shot.

This is one of my favorite shots for so many reasons.  As an aspiring photographer there is great joy that comes with capturing a fleeting, beautiful moment on film.  Mainly, though, I love this shot because I’m a Dad and my daughter just said she loves me.

Well done! A wonderful shot, and the warmth added to the monochrome conversion really suits it.

Right before this shot, she said, “You mess with the bull, and you get the horns.”

Thanks so much k@! Of all of the photographs I’ve posted this may be my favorite for obvious reasons. It may not be technically as refined as other shots but it warms my heart like no other. My daughter loves her mother very much but it seems sometimes she just tolerates me. This picture helps me remember she actually loves me too. Cheers!
