Mohammad

Mohammad and I have worked together for nearly nine years now. Yesterday as we waited to catch a train from LA after attending a meeting, I snapped a few shots. In our life at the office we work with a team of people to ensure that low-income children with severe illnesses in our region have access to health care.

Mohammad is a pediatrician, husband, and a father of five children. He is deeply compassionate, a trait I’ve seen shine through his customarily businesslike demeanor. When my son was sick and my wife and I were fretting away the weeks in an ICU, Mohammad and his wife drove 70 miles to the hospital with a car full of the most delicious Indian food I’d ever eaten. They visited with us and comforted us in our despair.

Life’s journey is often surprising and the road I’ve shared with Mohammad is no exception. From two entirely different worlds our lives are intertwined, fighting each day to ensure our most vulnerable get the care they need. I’m very glad I’m in this battle with Mohammad.

Excellent photography and a very nice tribute to my husband. Thank you very much for your kind words.
Incidentally this link was forwarded to me by my son, an avid photographer himself (not sure if he is one of your regular viewers, but you sure have one additional viewer here).

    Thanks again, much appreciated.

A very compelling portrait and a great tribute to a comrade in arms. It’s very true that some of our most crucial missions in this life are shared across the spectrum of humanity. It’s good to know what we can march together–at least in some of those very important things. Great thoughts, Christopher.

I see you start the year with a high degree, as always. This is a fantastic portrait dominated the beautiful background blur, the successful black and white, and the capture of the decision at the right time.
Has my vote for the Photoblog Awards.
