Leather And Lace

Ah, the classic bait-and-switch. When I first started my photo blog I posted an image of my beautiful wife and was staggered when I checked my photoblog the next day and found I’d had more visits in a single 24 hours than all the days before combined. I had innocently (and I’m not lying here) titled the  image Beach Beauty which apparently drove people to check it out. Okay, by people I think I probably mean dudes. Ladies, on behalf of guys I’d like to apologize; we are, it turns out, terrible.

This title and post are just a little fun for the winter season. I hope everyone is staying warm this winter (and cool if you’re down south). Cheers!

These shoes made for ice rings look very exotic for me, who is living in a tropical country :)

I notice that one shoe looks out of its place.

Where was it shot: in a shop or at an ice ring?

      :-)

Yes, I suppose they would seem very exotic to you. They are from an actual rink that was set up in my community but only for the Holidays. I think they use dry ice underneath to keep it frozen in the hot weather. Children (and adults) can go for a little skate and hear festive music. It’s very fun!

      Cheers!

I like the title – and your comments on the slight unintentional subterfuge. So being male – and with due apologies to the ladies – I took a look at “Beach Beauty”. ..a lovely facial profile.

Great photo, wonderful tones and framing, and VERY clever title. I won’t lie, I saw it on my iGoogle page and clicked through, immediately curious. And I don’t even have the excuse of being a guy!

Christopher i read the text and you make me smile – great choise with the title. ;-) – The shot is well framed and i like the good contrasts. We also have very cold winter days, but the next summer is coming.

I like all of the white in this one. Nice macro of something different.

A very nice BW. The gradation is great and there are so many little details in the photo to absorb. And I know–I’m terrible–but that doesn’t change the fact that your wife IS beautiful. :)

Couldn’t agree more, on the wife front that is Phil. Thanks! :-)
