Over the weekend we packed our kids up for a trip to the mountains where locals were putting on an apple harvest festival. The kids enjoyed romping around in the shade of tall trees with pigs, goats and turkeys. At one point this woman took some of her little pigs around for the kids to pet. She was so clearly enamored with her porcine friends. I snapped a few shots of her; this one caught a real tender look so it’s my favorite. After all the kids had finally dispersed I watched her move over to the side where she rooted around her bag for something. She eventually found a little treat–an Oreo cookie which he quickly gobbled with gusto. It is, it turns out, good to be a pig!

That’ll do, Chris, that’ll do.
Thanks Daniel? =]
This is a wonderful portrait in sepia. Love the bokeh lights. Sounds like you all had a great time.
Thanks Kala–we did. It’s always nice to visit the mountains but especially fun for the kids when there are animals to be played with.
Bravo for this superb double portrait, light & mono are terrific, attitude & tenderness t°°
Thanks k@!
Awesome portrait. What a great capture of the moment!
Thanks Glen–really appreciate that!
LOL .. The tittle works so well .. and i like the smile on her face, also beautyfull toning. And btw .. i like your hat
Thanks Klaus! I had some misgivings posting this shot mainly for reasons that are apparent. I was shooting quickly and trying to avoid the kids reaching up; in my haste I missed capturing the little pigs snout. It’s an important element but I think the shot still works because of the woman’s sweet smile.
women we cant resist pigs
Too funny! =]
great shot, well done, perfect in b/w. looks like the 50′s when I was a kid, exploring the farm where we lived.
Thanks Michael!
