Bored

I’m Bored. School’s out; what am I going to do now?

Well for starters I’m going to read every single volume of Captain Underpants. I will build every Star Wars ship Lego has to offer. Three to four times a day I will ask my dad when Cars 2 is coming out. I will memorize every line of Cars 2. I’m going to torture my sister.  My sister will torture me. I will learn to swim. I’m going to take my very first trip to San Francisco. I will hang out with my Grandma and Grandpop. I will go to the beach. I will celebrate my sister’s fifth birthday. I will turn seven.

None of it will be enough. I’m bored.

Awesome! This is especially great when we saw the same thing with his own children … This photo is really beautiful, Christopher. Light on the textures of the wall is absolutely magical. Your son is bored. It may be time to teach him the rudiments of your passion … photography. ;-)

Well, my young man, I want to tell you that even with my years, I sometimes feel the same way.

What a wonderful expression and internal dialogue. Such a sweet…pensive..honest image. And – what a gorgeous little boy!

this is so funny. i am glad to see that the way kids feel is universal. this is why as soon as school is out my boy is going to soccer camp followed by a two week dance camp followed by our annual trip to europe and we’ll be back just in time for school in september. am i overdoing it? i wonder…
brilliant shot, i love the background and the mood of your lovely boy. oh to be young again!

sometimes i feel bored here too lil one… then i’ll try and irritate the ones that are busy… till they pop. It always works you know.

Please tell you dad… its a lovely picture of you :)

Great lines and mood in this shot. So glad Ez is too young to be bored just yet. Though I can imagine that will come all too soon!

I believe there’s a brick in the wall for each day of summer, no? Great shot. I can hear the questions now. Mine have another week before the rain of questions begin. Cheers Christopher. San Francisco is one of my favorite cities.

That’s wall with its original hue is so evocative of boredom added to the cutie’s attitude, real nice & story-telling, Christopher.

really strong texture, wonderful image but seems to be a sad situation, maybe is this that tranform a shot in a photo, compliments Chris

You captured it well and portray its message with clarity of expressions. You as well, collaborate the image with your imaginary thoughts. Amazing!

…and I’m really fed up of posing for my dad’s interminable photography. Even if he is bloody good!

Ha, not only is your photograph priceless, your story is spot on. As a matter of fact, for a big kid like myself, all these fun summer activities sound like something I’d like to do. (But not the torture part). My 20 year old son still won’t give up his Capt. Underpants books nor his legos. Some childhood memories make such an indelible impact that we carry them with us always.

That wall seems so oppressive and the boy so small, and his pose says it all, of course. Brilliant shot!

I hope the parents have your library card in hand and if not already purchased the Legos that they have budgeted (money and space for display!).

    Cute!

When you are bored usually nothing or very little is on the mind, and it actually translates perfectly into this image where this little fella is so small in the big frame here. :-)

Love the way this shot is framed. Great timing on the sun just kissing the wall enhancing some blocks while obscuring others.
