Bokeh Of Orchids

Yes, there’s no question I’m just a little too pleased with myself over the title of this post. You’re getting a sense, I think, of what my wife, friends and coworkers have to put up with on a daily basis. A quick google search will undoubtedly reveal that thousands of people discovered this play-on-words before me but can’t I just have this one? I’ve had a really hard week.

We found these gorgeous wild orchids on the Big Island of Hawaii not too far from Hilo. I’m not sure my photographic skills do them justice.

    LOL

I’m not a flowers guy, but these are indeed pretty. I especially like the title.

What photography blogs do you follow, other than your blogroll of course?

I like flowers a lot but I’ve never been great at capturing them. One of the photoblogs I follow is by Kala–I’m lucky enough to have her post here quite a bit. She does flowers in amazing ways–amatterofhowyouseeit.com. There are a couple others I follow–If you scroll down a bit on the page you’ll see my blogroll. There’s a variety of styles but they’re all great.
