I’m a father, husband and amateur photographer. I’ve been taking pictures since I was about 13 years-old when my father gave me an old point-and-shoot. My parents were always supportive and figured out ways to keep me taking pictures even when money was tight. During high school I worked 20 hours a week as school photographer and darkroom technician–that’s really when I began trying to better understand photography and its role in my life. Currently I shoot with a Canon 50D loaded with either the Canon 24-70 f/2.8L USM or the Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS II USM. My newest addition is the Fujifilm x1oo which I now take with me almost everywhere I go.
Photography gives this left-brained science geek a bit of a right-brain outlet. I love photographing children, landscapes and have a real penchant for black and white. Lately I’ve begun to explore the world of abstract photography and I’m completely smitten. When my time isn’t filled with being a family man and these photographic pursuits, I work as a pediatrician.
I hope you enjoy my photography and thoughts on life. Please visit again soon.
